Shipman had many nicknames, such as “The Angel of Death” and "The Good Doctor". What was Harold Shipman’s early life like? Harold was born on January 14, 1946, in England. He was the second of three children to his parents, Vera and his father also named Harold Shipman. Growing up, Harold’s life was quite normal like any other child’s. He lived in a middle class home, was an athlete, and was nicknamed “Fred” by his father.
