Matthew McConaughey is the very bane of my existence. How he managed to have such a well-known and prestigious acting career is far beyond my understanding. I think Steven Spielberg did a good job on creating this film made it so powerful and meaningful that the sound effects made it so realistic. Where the middle closing scenes of the children laughing and playing about with the soldiers I could feel and see what Spielberg was trying to say. The happiness that the loved ones who live in memory couldn't have with their families shows how little of hope there was. It makes the film believable; it reminds me of the Syrian refugee crisis in today's world; It's so saddening how kids were being affected by the holocaust; being shot at and watching people get killed in front of them. It made me sad just watching the film when Amon Goeth was trying to kill the old man.
