This battle showed how effective aircraft carriers are, this also showed that battleships would really have no use anymore. This is because aircraft carriers can carry many aircraft that can be used in a more effective way then any battle ship could be used in. With aircraft that is able to take off and land on a carrier is so effective because it makes the range of how far an aircraft can travel. Now you can be anywhere in the world and have air support because of aircraft carriers. This would also allow aircraft to save fuel because of the carrier. Allowing aircraft to save fuel while moving greater distances with an aircraft would allow the plane to have a more effective route on its missions across any ocean. Aircraft carriers would be improved so much as time went on changing the whole design. First changing with the size of the carriers. Aircraft carriers would soon be made at an enormous size, towering over 10 stories high. The engines used to power such a monster would have to be upgraded a lot. They would put nuclear powered engines in the carriers to limit the refueling time and this would allow such a ship to travel for the entire lifespan of the nuclear reactor without refueling . This means that for as long as 30 years. Now that aircraft carriers are running off such engines that can travel around the world multiple times, would make aircraft so much more effective then if a single aircraft had to travel on its own. Because aircraft carriers were so effective during world war 2, this would be a major turning point in the battle against japan. This would be the first win the united states would take in the war against japan. After suffering a great loss in pearl harbor. The united states had parked their ships at pearl harbor in Hawaii. The Japanese would do a major attack on our ships with aircraft. They would have pilots that would dive bomb the ships and destroyed a lot of ships and killed lots of people. Midway would be a major turning point not just for the war, but for the people to, this gave people
