Introductory The Tasmanian Devil is an endangered, native Australian animal which can only be found in the state of Tasmania. Although the Tasmanian devil only grows to the size of a small dog, their vicious temperament is what gave them their name of the 'Devil '. They are predominantly black with one or two white stripes on their neck and lower back. They have large sharp teeth, which enable them to tear meat from the carcasses of other animals.
I think that SeaWorld is an amazing facility. I love the fact that they rescue sea creatures from their inevitable death. I love the fact that children love to come here. I love the fact that this place causes children to subconsciously learn something. I love to bring my kids here on the weekend to watch the shows that the trainers put on with the orcas.
Baleen whales are sometimes called "mustached whales." The name refers to the series of baleen plates in gums along each side of the whale 's upper jaw. They are triangular and arranged like teeth in a comb. The inner edge is frayed, and the fringes form a dense mat inside the mouth. Baleen is made mostly of keratin, a substance found in our fingernails and hair.
Zooxanthellae’s response to thermal stress conditions and the effects it has with its symbiotic relationship with Coral Reefs Introduction Coral reefs are among the most riches ecosystems on Earth. Coral reefs only cover less than two percent of the ocean surface (Fujise 2014). Within these coral reefs, corals have a coevolutionary relationship with zooxanthellae.
The Great White Shark The Great White Sharks, known mostly because of their white underbellies, are one of the most powerful aquatic animals in the world. They can swim at about 25 Miles Per Hour (40 Kilometers per hour) because of their strong muscles and forceful tails. In addition to that, male Great Whites can grow around 11.5 to 13.1 feet long, while females can grow from 14.8 to 16.4 feet long. This paper will demonstrate how Great White Sharks are an important part of their ecosystem, how their diets work and will adequately describe their habitats. As predators in their ecosystem, Great White sharks help maintain the coral reefs and seagrass habitats.
One day, after the earth was fully created, an evil king named Lord Shark-Bear-Agator took over the earth and became greedy. He ruled all of the American continents with an iron fist and enslaved most of the humans to work for him. One day, a girl named Christina wanted to free her family from the corrupted king. She set out a trap that would involve the Shark-Bear-Agator walking onto a pile of leaves in the forest and falling into the Earth, but first she needed a wizard to cast a spell a curse on the hole making it to where he would never be able to use magic and get out. The girl then went off to find a wizard.
The stripe patterns are different from regular zebras. Grevy’s zebras have black and white stripes going vertical down their body but when it reaches their limbs the stripes shift into a horizontal pattern. Grevy’s zebras love to live in areas where there are a lot of grass for them to eat and water to drink. They are mostly found in Eastern Africa in regions like Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya. Since Grevy’s zebras are mainly herbivores they
The Native Americans of the North West Coast region adapted to their environment with the uses of fish, trees, and animal hides. The Native Americans of the North West Coast used fish as their main food resource. They made their house close to beaches and bays because it was faster to capture the fish. Common bottlenose dolphins and killer whales are the most well-known types of the dolphin on Earth. Both of them are warm-blooded marine mammals belonging to the Delphinidae family. The scientific name of the common bottlenose dolphin is Tursiops truncatus, which means “dolphinlike”, and the killer whale is Orcinus orca, which means “of the kingdom of the dead”. This name is likely a reference to killer whales’ outstanding hunting skill. In Latin, orca means "large-bellied pot or jar".
The Dangers of Materialism Taking Precedence Above All Else Mark Twain is famously quoted saying, “Any so-called material thing that you want is merely a symbol: you want it not for itself, but because it will content your spirit for the moment”. Modern day materialism is used to rationalize the bloodshed of innocent wildlife. The annihilation of nature is a pressing matter in our daily lives, which humans are able to justify through false ideological perspectives. Sitting at the top of the biological hierarchy, mankind believes themselves to be held to a higher social commitment. However, people are placing our world’s biodiversity at risk in order to achieve capital gain.
Members of the Sharkism religion pray by facing and, at appropriate times, bowing to the fin of a Great White Shark. A fin that is displayed on the central altar of a Sharkism temple is embalmed and preserved according to Sharkism religious practices remains ritually pure for about a year. After the year has passed, the previous fin must be replaced by a new fin in the same manner. Due to the Great White Shark being an endangered animal species, the state of New Jersey had enacted a statute known as the Great White Shark Act. The statute made it a crime--punishable by a $5,000 fine and/or up to one year in prison--to purchase, sell, or possess a Great White Shark or any body part thereof.
Throughout the varying time periods, artists have represented the culture, values, and logic of their environment and reflected them into their work. The Enlightenment Period was an era in which artists pulled their inspiration from observation and reason, noting that nature should be controlled by humans and society by social hierarchy. Whereas, the Era of Romanticism placed emphasis on emotions and imagination, whilst responding to the work of the Enlightenment Period and showcased work that focused on the ideas of democracy and leaving nature untamed. In the latter Realism period, many literature pieces focused on the ordinary rather than large scale ideas and no longer seeing nature as an antidote to human injustices. (698).
Marine organisms are animals, plants, and other living things that live in the ocean. A Marine biologist is a scientist who studies marine organisms and studies the bodies, behavior, and the history of marine organisms. They also study how marine organisms interact with each other and their environment. I have chosen to research about Marine biology because I would like to learn about sea life, the ocean, and its surrounding environment. To start off, a Marine biologist might study coral, crabs, fish, microscopic marine organisms, sea stars, seaweed, squid, or whales.

I pulled back and had the fish hooked. I knew it had to be a big fish because it was hard to reel in. After about 25 or 30 minutes the fish was almost at the doc. Then I started to pull it out of the water and that’s when I realized it was a shark. The shark was about two feet long and weighed 45 pounds.
