In the book The Killing sea by Richard Lewis, there were many events and these are some things that were the best. Furthermore, Sarah and her mother, Betty fight about everything, The historical happenings, and how one of the main characters has changed enormously.

To begin, Sarah and her mother ,Betty, have different points of view when it comes to respect and decisions . On page 5, “ He couldn't imagine a teenage girl in Meulaboh defying her mother like this.” According to the quote, It’s clear that Sarah and her mother are fighting and Ruslan thinks it’s crazy that she is even talking to her mother like that according to Ruslans life in the east and Sarahs life in the west. She had to bury her mom. “ According to the quote, Sarah obviously felt no grief for her mother's death. When she found her mother lying on the fishing nets she thought her mother was going to scold her for not keeping her little brother Peter safe, instead she found her mother to be dead feeling no grief. Also, Sarah should have respected her mother instead of mistreating her because the last time she talked to her they were fighting and she can never take that back.
