Psychotherapeutic Treatment: It is understandable that some children and teenagers will do everything they possibly can to avoid the feelings they are having. Yet, attempts to avoid or escape their emotions and feelings can make them worse, which is why I chose to implement trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). This has been adaptive for many sexually abused victims and others, is actually developed for kids and is seen to be highly effective. It incorporates both behavioral and cognitive components as well implementing family and supportive elements. Some of the major components of the treatment are psychoeducation and parenting strategies, relaxation, affective expression and regulation, cognitive coping, trauma narrative and processing, in vivo exposure, conjoint parent child sessions and enhancing personal safety.
Therapist met with the client for individual therapy at school. Therapist did a check in regards to symptoms, mood, thoughts, emotions, coping skills, the goals that he achieved, and behaviors since the last session. Therapist processed the client's negative thoughts. Therapist used open-ended questions to address any concerns the client may have. Therapist encouraged the client to keep motivated during the stressful time, especially when he has negative thoughts, which stats usually with negative thoughts, argue with his sisters, or with his aunt, or if he has been triggered by any internal or external thoughts.
According to the world health organisation 50 percent of mental illnesses begin by the age of 14, that’s why there are organisation such as the kids helpline dedicated to helping and counselling young people(Kids Helpline, 2016). The Kids Helpline is a free, 24 hour counselling service for young individuals between the age the 5-25, within this organisation 's kids are able to talk to experienced and trained counsellors who offer sessions though the phone, email and over the web (Kids Helpline, 2016) (appendix 1). These experienced counsellors all together respond to 4,500 calls a day, in regards to a range of issues that young people are having (kids helpline, 2016). The organisation 's main aim is to “empower young people by assisting them to develop and create positive relationships” they have helped millions of children and is a critical organisation in relation to kids physical, mental and social well being (Kids Helpline, 2016).

These deep messages and problems that can occur in your daily life or around you, makes the reader think or rethink.
As a result, teens who are faced with these problems later in life, having never wrestled with them before may have a very harmful or dangerous reaction. These negative reactions can be reduced if teens are exposed to the dark themes present in this book in the classroom. Another way this book can help teens is the fact that the book makes teens fell as if they are not alone. Andrew Skerritt justifies this "They help teenagers feel they're not alone in dealing with the issues they face. If a book deals with a girl getting pregnant, it doesn't mean the author is glamorizing teen pregnancy" (Skerritt).
Q1.3 Explain the impact of adolescent development on a young person’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours A1.3 Adolescence is a time of great change for young people when physical changes are happening at an accelerated rate. Puberty is accompanied by physical, psychological and emotional changes adapted to ensure reproductive and parenting success. But adolescence is not just marked by physical changes – young people are also experiencing cognitive, social/emotional and interpersonal changes as well. It marks a transition in risks for depression and other common mental disorders, substance abuse, eating disorders and anti social behaviours. As they grow and develop young people are influenced by outside factors, such as their environment, culture, religion, school and the media.
Questionnaires are completed to assess for baseline symptoms, thoughts, and behaviors at the beginning, mid-point, and end of group. Anecdotal information and surveys play a large role in understanding what is and is not working with SPARCS. This information is gathered from students, parents/guardians, and school staff throughout SPARCS groups. Following up with caregivers and youths to see how they are functioning after the treatment intervention is also important. This can give providers a sense of how well youths retain the concepts of SPARCS.

" I think that just like movies, books and paintings, some video games have the ability to immerse us into the surrounding atmosphere and make us feel as though we are part of the world it creates for us. Though some video games could be considered to be art and others not, we have to first decipher what it really means for something to be art. Throughout his column, Ebert throws around many different definitions of art, but art can be a very hard term to actually define.
In this assignment I will be discussing two forms of therapies, family therapy as well as narrative therapy. The assignment will begin with an overview of both family therapy and narrative therapy. I will discuss the key concepts, techniques, therapeutic goals as well as client-therapist relationship. I will then proceed to discuss whether family therapy and narrative therapy are able to be applied in a multicultural context. The assignment will then conclude with how family therapy and narrative therapy is applied in certain situations to clients and how each one will benefit the client.

With the aging population, barriers of communication between teenagers and elderly become one of the issues in recent years. Whether in the workplace or in the family, teenagers or elderly must face the communication problem of them and maintain their relationship. Adolescence is considered to begin of 11-13 and end around 27-29. Elderly are aged 65 or above. The biggest gap is half a century and the smallest gap is also 30 years.
Family crisis has caused the social control in children to be neglected. Parents who often argued will not be able to nurture and educate their children properly. This situation becomes worst when the parents are busy with the tasks at office until they ignore their responsibilities to watch over their children’s behavior. Social problems among teenagers become an increasingly worrying phenomenon that teenagers go through such as early pregnancy, suicidal and drug abuse. However, there are many helpful organizations trying to overcome the social problems among teenagers.
