Elie Wiesel once said in the Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech that “ Our lives no longer belong to us alone; they belong to all those who need us desperately.” We the people need to take action for the good. Each and every single one of us can move an impact in the world and history. In the essay I will argue that taking action is the best way to responding to conflict because actions can create habits of good and that good can lead to success. Taking action can help many people in horrible situations. In the diary of Anne Frank the play Miep says “ Mr. Frank, Thank God you arrived safely”. This quote supports my claim because it says how Miep said that they arrived safely because there were many Nazis looking for them. In the play Mr. Frank says “ But everybody Miep and Mr. Kraler will bring us food, books, and their precious company”. Mr. Frank took action and said how much Miep and others were helping the franks and Van Daans each day while hiding from the Nazis. In the speech Elie says “ There is so much to be done. One person a Raoul Wallenberg and Albert Schweitzer, Martin Luther King. Jr.” He said that because he wanted to show people how one person were, any race can make a huge difference by standing up. He also says “ What all theses victims need above is to know that they are not alone; that we are not forgetting them, that when their freedom depends on ours the quality of our freedom depends on theirs.” Elise took action by saying how much our freedom is worth.
