Technological change is not additive, but it is, instead ecological. This statement by Neil Postman in his “Five Things We Need to Know about Technological Change” (Postman, 1998) clearly states his perspective on new technologies and all the goodness that come with them. First of all, when a new technology is introduced and put in use, it is not merely an addition to the existing infrastructure system on which it was developed. In fact, there will be lots of changes from inside that will end up in transforming the whole system itself. This internal transformation will begin to have effects on other systems that have interconnections with each other. Change in transportation is evident: people enjoy faster and safe mean of transportation, which take them from one side of the world to another side in shorter time than ever.
