My household buys Industrial Organic foods to ask a majority of our diet each year with a few and minor expectations of Organic foods and Local Sustainable foods. Just this topic alone can bring up such as “What is Industrial Organic food?” or “What types of foods are there?” well to answer the latter question, in the book The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan, he describes how he followed the food making process which he categorized different types of foods to make the four food chains: Industrial, Industrial Organic, Local Sustainable, and Hunter-Gatherer.

According to Michael Pollan in The Omnivore’s Dilemma, “This is the oldest type of food chain there is… made up simply of you, hunting, growing, or finding your food.” This food chain can be considered the purest and healthiest of the other three food chain that were mentioned before as there may be an entire lack of chemicals or hormones added to the food before and or after harvesting the food. It may take some time to prepare and cook the food so it wouldn’t be considered fast food, but it could be considered the opposite.

Depending on your preferences, you could choose to eat one of these types of foods or even more for your whole life. But why do we choose to eat these foods? Well, as previously mentioned, it depends on your food preferences, but there could also be a lot of other variables to picking the food you
