Well the award winning book "American born Chinese" by Gene Lune Yang isn't that type of book. The first reason why I think that this book should be deeply recommended to be read in a class is because of the different types of lessons it teaches you. The first lesson it teaches you about racism and discrimination. This means that you should respect other culture and not discriminate others because of their skin color or religion. My second topic that I will be talking about is keeping in touch with your culture because this is such a topic that no one talks about even thought the biggest point about this is that sometimes adults even have trouble keeping in touch with their culture. In "American born Chinese” Jin Wang a young Chinese boy feels as if his Chinese heritage is stopping him from being popular at school. He even go's as far as imagining him as an American boy named "Danny. However despite all of this happening to Jin Wang he discovers that who he is, is just right. Keeping in touch is very important and has allotted to do with racism because sometimes people don't feel comfortable at school because sometimes people often get made fun of their race.
