The battle I chose was called The Battle of Bunker Hill. This Battle happened on June 17, 1775 early on in the Revolutionary War. The battle was in Massachusetts on the hill, that hill was called Bunker Hill. On June 17, some 2,200 British forces under the command of Major General William Howe and Brigadier General Robert Pigot landed on the Charlestown Peninsula then marched to Breed's Hill. On this day in 1775, a force drawn from the United Colonies engaged in an attack on British troops near Charlestown, Massachusetts, in what has come to be known as the Battle of Bunker Hill.
