To promote this product, DQ has set many different ads out of the same product, to hopefully catch the eyes of the people walking in and out of the store, hoping they will come back for more. In Brenden Buhler’s “On Eating Roadkill”, the author is asking whether the citizens of the United States would consider eating roadkill, and if, in fact, we are aware that we already have. “So for those on the fence (or outright repelled) by the concept, consider this: because gelatin ends up in everything from marshmallows to gummy bears to ice cream, there’s a good chance that you’ve already consumed, legally, some accidental meat.” (206) Buhler has convinced this reader that eating roadkill is a viable option for feeding some of our homeless here in America.

Most notably is the appeal of pathos. If you’re driving by and see this advertisement for the first time on the billboard you most likely at least have a small chuckle. Once you begin to laugh at this you actually find it amusing and your brain will automatically begin to think of good things from eating at Chick Fil A. This ad also successfully uses the appeal of ethos.
Novelist, Eric Schlosser, in his novel, “Fast Food Nation”, expresses how fast food has spread. Schlosser’s purpose is to make us see how addicted we are to fast food. He adopts a shocking tone through the use of diction, Logos, and diction in order to get people to make better choices. For starters, one of the strategies that Schlosser used in this text is diction. Diction can be defined as style of speaking or writing determined by the choice of words by a speaker /writer.
In each of these ads, there are sexual and inappropriate messages, especially for the audiences Burger King is presenting to. These ads reach children and families. These ads are some of the many ads that bother me because I know this company is not selling sex of any type, oral or not but BURGERS. When I saw these ads I could only think what do the parents of these kids think when they see the kids
