We are like boiling frogs, Failing to act against climate change. As the severity of the situation continues to increase the world is reaching catastrophic levels. The recent article, “It's not too late to stave off the climate crisis, U.N. report finds” by Lauren Sommer, uses persuasive language to alert the public that the time to act on climate change is now.
The world has enough technology and solutions to fix this problem as stated in the article whilst the author uses pathos to help support the quote. “The technology and solutions are available to rein in emissions, but the world is rapidly running out of time to deploy, the report notes.” The author uses pathos to show that even though we have enough technology to help reduce climate change we aren't reducing it. The author also used pathos when he said “Changing the way humans work, live and eat in cities and building can have a major impact on reducing emissions, as much as 40 to 70 percents in some of those sectors.''
