In Coleridge’s poem,"The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner", readers learn about the periplus of an old man who after killing an albatross, finds himself involved in a series of misfortunes. He really suffers during his journey but he is finally able to return to his starting point. However, it is rather questionable for readers to decide if he finds peace or not at the very end of the poem. There are some reasons why it can be said that he finds no peace at all at the end of the poem and there are some other motives why readers can conclude that the man discovers sort of a rest.
