Richard Moon Book Report

At 12:37am the body of 36-year-old Richard Moon was found in his home. The cause of death was said to be from a poisoned drink that he had consumed and instantly killed him. He had not been dead that long as the police were alerted by the home security system and came as quickly as possible. When they arrived, they found a broken window and the burglar alarm still screaming. The killer had quickly poisoned Moon and was able to escape by taking Moon’s bicycle from the garage. There were tracks in the snow from the motorcycle, the police began to follow as they were now on the hunt for a killer.

Harrison Michaels was a coworker of Richard Moon and they were both up for the same job position promotion, however, Michaels had a history with anger, so he lost the promotion to Moon as he has been jealous ever since. He even had moments of violent outbursts towards Moon or throwing objects at him and cursing at him. It got so bad that he once physically attacked him and the police had to be called leading to Michaels losing his job altogether. When Chief Hale made it up to the house the only source of light inside was coming from a glowing fireplace in the front side room. They had searched the house and found no one. Outside thy had found a huge backyard and long garden path that lead to three different areas. They split up with the Chief going the longest distance walk, and the biggest area. Something had scared it away and in the corner of his eye the Chief saw a moving shadow heading towards the shed in the far back of the property. He quietly called for a few more man to follow as backup. He slowly opened the door but quickly lowered his weapons. A raspy laugh came from Michaels mouth and an evil smile.
