America and many other countries enjoy the sport of football. Fans worldwide watch and follow NFL games and all the problems that occur during games, by players, coaches, team, even fans. All fans want to see the players, coaches, and teams, be punished fairly for something they do on or off the field. But, it was noticed that the certain punishments being dealt, were extremely unfairs and are unjustified. As time went on it was noticed even more that, these unfair and unjustified punishments began to become too much for the players, coaches, team, and fans to have to see and hear about. They bring up how the policies that were put in place for years that are not only being ignored, but unfair to the players, as well as the teams and their fans. All players do not have an issue with being punished for violated a policy but due to the “ power” (Russell) given to Roger Goodell the NFL commissioner. As sherman stated, “The NFL can do whatever it wants.” In this case he mean Goodell, the person who hands out and give punishments when needed. Ending at the point that there are no “actual policies”(Russell) because of Roger Goodell and him having way too much power. As in there is not reason at all, for him to deal out the punishment as he wishes and not based off the “policies” (Russell )already in place.
