The Temple of Music was Claus Spreckels’ most expensive gift to his adopted hometown of San Francisco. It was a concession to his son, Adolph B. Spreckels, who served very successfully as a park commissioner and who enlisted many members of his class to improve the Golden Gate Park. Richard Henry Lee Richard Henry Lee was born into an eminent Virginia family on January 20, 1732, at Stratford Hall in Westmoreland, Virginia. His father, grandfather and his four brothers all served as military officers, diplomats, and legislators. Richard was tutored at home and then sent to Wakefield Academy in England for his formal education. After graduation, he traveled in Europe, and then returned to Virginia in 1752. After school in England, he was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses and later was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress, where he proposed the colonies should be independent from Great Britain.
Jack Gruener was born in Krakow, Poland in 1927. Jack was an only child. He was twelve years old when the ghetto Plaszow was being built. He survived with his parents, aunt and uncle on top of the roof of their apartment building. They lived in a little shack.

At a young age he was taught to read by his grandmother at the same time he attended a quacker school. He was self-taught for the most part teaching himself literature, history, and mathematics. With such great intelligence he had multiple accomplishments in the near future.

Davy Crockett was a very brave and confident man, who was brave enough to explore the wild frontier and make friends with Native Americans. Because of Crockett 's determination, he helped form a county in Tennessee called Lawrence County, was elected a senator in the House of Representatives, and fought in the war of the Alamo to help Texas achieve their freedom. Since Crockett helped Texas secure their freedom, by fighting in the war against the Alamo, U.S. citizens can now live in Texas without being under the rule of Mexico.
Richard the Lionheart is one of the most famous of kings, if not the most, in England and France. He was born on September 8, 1157 and died on April 6, 1199. He is mainly known for his part in the Third Crusade attempting to free Jerusalem from Muslim control. Although he had a large and important role in Medieval Europe, it is usually romanticized to increase the heroism of Richard. Richard’s prowess as a military leader, his benevolence and his sense of responsibility were all greatly exaggerated.
The Son of Sam killer was born Richard David Falco, but was adopted and his name changed to David Berkowitz. He is responsible for shootings that killed 7 people and injured 8. The first shooting took place July 29, 1976. The two victims that day were Donna Lauria and Jody Valenti. Lauria was killed and Valenti was injured.
After doing that for a while, Wolfe decided in 1905 on becoming a professional decorator (Munhall, 1999). Soon enough Wolfe came in contact with architect Stanford White who got Wolfe the commission to do the decoration in the city’s first only women’s club called “The Colony Club” located on Madison and 31st Street. When the Colony opened in 1907, what really got people talking about Wolfe style was the indoor garden pavilion. Wolfe introduced a casual, feminine style with an abundance of glazed chintz, tiled floors, light draperies, pale walls, wicker chairs, clever vanity tables, and the first of her many trellised rooms (Munhall, 1999). Over the next six years, Wolfe designed interiors for many esteemed private homes, clubs and businesses on the East and West coasts.
I chose a serial killer named Edmund Kemper. Edmund Kemper's parents divorced while he was quite young and he was sent to live with his mother and two sisters in Montana. Kemper did not have a good relationship with his mother, an alcoholic. When Kemper was just ten years old his mother forced him to live in the basement in fear of him hurting his sisters in any way. Signs of his trouble started very early with dark fantasies and even dreams of killing his mother.
