Born on November 23, 1953 (62) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John and Levite Bayless, Rick Bayless joined his heavy food- oriented family. Starting with his grandfather who own a simple Burger and milkshake drive-in to his great uncles who owned a very popular local grocery store to his most important influence foodie, his parent who owned a barbecue restaurant called the Hickory House. He grew up with his older brother, John Edward “Skip” Bayless II and younger sister Georgette Bayless, whom all grew up working in the family restaurant, Rick whom which took more interest than his other siblings.
