Ridgeview Should Make School Dress Code Less Strict

Ridgeview should make its dress code less strict because it’s unfair to girls with different body types and makes boys seem like they have no control over themselves. Girls should not have to worry about distracting boys with their clothes at school. They should be able to feel self confident, comfortable, and pretty in their clothing and bodies.
Picture this, you just bought some new clothes at the mall and you can’t wait to wear them at school. You walk into school on Monday feeling comfortable and self-confident when an administrator stops you “Excuse me miss, your shorts are too short and your shirt shows your shoulders I’m going to need you to change.” On your way to the locker room, to change, you notice a girl with the exact same outfit on! But instead of getting dress coded she gets complimented. How irritating would that be?! Just because her sleeves are three fingers and her shorts are passed her fingertips. And not only that but has an administrator ever asked a boy what they are really distracted by, do we really know if boys actually get distracted from shoulders and legs? I’ve asked countless guys at Ridgeview and the answer is no, but there are things that can distract them. I agree that there should be some sort of dress code at Ridgeview because we want girls to learn how to be modest. Girls should definitely not be showing stomach, cleavage, or super high up thigh at school, it’s unnecessary and inappropriate. But showing shoulders and a little bit of leg should be acceptable. Boys and girls can help make the dress code at Ridgeview less
