FIRST Robotics team #5219 has been impacted by showing us how to be resourceful with our building materials on our robot based off a budget of $4,000. We have to be creative and be hands on with the robot to have a successful robot. Participates learn the significant of teamwork. As a team we need to know each other weakness and strength to accomplish goals. Also, we have to use time management to produce a product in a short amount of time. As FIRST Robotics alliance member we have talked to our team member to express strategies and robots weakness and strength.

TeknoSquad is currently building a partnership with a local school, BCJA, to start a FLL Jr. and/or FLL team(s). In addition to virtual communication, we have attended a parent meeting to communicate directly with parents about the benefits of STEAM and FIRST robotics. This was done to encourage them and their children to participate and to help cultivate the next generation of leader and innovators. Unfortunately, we can not start the unless enough people show interest; however, we are dedicated to starting the teams regardless of how many meetings and/or robot demonstrations needed to spread the message of FIRST.
