In order to achieve this feat, he adopts an apprehensive tone to persuade the audience of young adults to rely less on technology, and change their course of destruction. Bradbury artistically amplifies the hazards of technology and their effects on the youth through the use of allusions and juxtaposition. In Fahrenheit 451 the society started to read less and less books because, they had made the same books but they were dumbed down. The books only contained what u needed that 's it. For example, Fahrenheit 451’s world prides itself on equality, but to a much harsher degree, specifically not one person is smarter than the rest to avoid conflict, they believe the word “intellectual” to be a curse word and well-read people to be dangerous. In contrast, our world still prides itself on equality, yet we view it as everybody is treated equally even if they are different, instead of oppressing people into conforming to what is deemed socially acceptable. This is just one of the many examples of why Fahrenheit 451 is similar to our modern-day society. Another example would be that our world encourages reading and respectful debates whilst Fahrenheit 451’s world destroyed the use of books to eliminate conflict and debate altogether. So really, books like Fahrenheit 451 could be an accurate reflection of our society if we continue to go down a path of self-destruction and self-anonymity.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury shows the protagonist trapped in a dystopian society. The book takes place in the future, in a town in the United States of America. In Fahrenheit 451 they have the four walled TV rooms, terrifyingly similar to our television and our virtual reality today. Though we haven't turned into a society that rejects books and individuality of expression such as the world of Fahrenheit 451, many still choose to ignore the things they don’t like or understand. Most of the times not even a thought to the thinking behind the words in a book or the idea.

The differences with books are, that in the novel they have no value, but in modern society we use them for resources, also in the different societies with Fahrenheit 451 the government discourages reading or owning books, the fireman's job is to burn books because of the government not wanting them in the society.
The novel, Fahrenheit 451, shows a futuristic, dystopian society that is imagined by the author, Ray Bradbury. As the novel is shown through the eyes of a fireman Guy Montag, the audience also can tell that there are trends that are almost the same as the ones in today’s, current society. These most important trends out of the existing ones in the book are the depreciation of human life, how technology is affecting many relationships, and how people are not being able to think on their own. The devaluation of human life is constantly being shown throughout the novel as well as in today’s society.
