Rent One is a retail location but they are different than most retail because there are not actually departments within the store. If you think of other retail locations such as Walmart, you quickly notice the different departments. However, there are different levels within the company. Block 1 consist of the Owner of the company. Mr. Carrico, owner of Rent One, is an amazing man. He is very giving and truly cares about ALL his employees. However, his actions do contribute to the overall success of the company. He is level 5 of relevance. Block 2 I have the Vice Presidents of Operation listed because if there is a problem that Jay needs handled, he can go to him to get it done. He gives Jay direct orders from his higher management that I listed above. He helps Jay directly with any issue that he may not be able to handle, and he gives Jay his weekly training. The Regional Manager is a relevance of 5 to Jay getting his job done effectively. Block 6 is Jays staff. All the training and resources that the first four blocks contribute to Jay directly reflects his management skills on his staff. Block 7 represents the other regional stores that Jay must communicate with. Daily these stores cooperate with each other by transferring merchandise, having bed bug inspections done at Jays store, and Jay training other managers within the Region. Block 8 I am going to use for another business within the company that functions because of Rent One and their merchandise. If there is merchandise that is broken it gets sent to service, the service people come out and load the stuff up. When it is done they bring it back to the store. Their department is impacted by Jay being able to get service submitted. They are allowed funds from the first four blocks to get this completed. All the departments must work in unison to make sure the company runs
