Before the war, US interrogators were desperately in need to question Curveball since they got intelligence that Curveball was making weapons of mass destructions. Request by US interrogators to speak to curveball face to face fell in dead ears claiming that Curveball could not speak to Americans. In 2002, local CIA division chief met with German intelligence officer to arrange on how US interrogators could meet face to face with Curveball, but the CIA chiefs request was never granted. German intelligence officer claimed Curveball was mentally ill so there was no need to see him. On my opinion, the people to blame for this Curveball debacle would be the German intelligence officer who could not allow an interrogation session with Curveball.

Both men, Harold Abrahams and Eric Liddell, being fantastic runners and attending the same school they get the opportunity to be on the 1924 Olympics team. At one point in the book it shows how passionate Harold and Eric are about running and succeeding in their events. Many different people can relate to this right now if they are very focused on any kind of sport. Another point in the book it shows Erik, being a very religious Catholic, who has been chosen to run in the Olympics but since his race on a sunday
That is sports religion have many things in common. For instance, religion and sports creates feeling of sacrifice, dedication, suffering, festival, pain and celebration. A community devoted to religion are dedicated to something greater than themselves, which gives them a feeling that connects them with higher being or the “ultimate”. Likewise, soccer moms get a heighten sense of devotion from soccer that has found a way to fill a space in them, and which only sports can fill. Authors often use persuasive techniques such as Ethos, Pathos, and Logos to help support the claim being made. In the articles “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education,” by The National Association for Sport and Physical Education, and “The Weak Shall Inherit the Gym,” by Rick Reilly, both authors focus on using persuasive techniques to make claims about the relevance of dodgeball in physical education. To begin, in the article “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education” the National Association for Sport and Physical Education uses Ethos and Pathos to support their claim on why Dodgeball should be banned from schools. For instance, when trying to explain the purpose of PE, the author states, “NASPE believes that dodgeball is not an
The mix of formats for the future IndyCar races should use oval tracks races as this form is centrally more popular among the fans within the United States. Many believe this is what helps define the sport and its popularity. Furthermore, many critics fear that incorporating more road/street courses will weaken the sport and take the IndyCar series away from its roots (Ferrell & Hartline, 2014). Moreover, IndyCar drivers are having to master the art of racing on a variety of tracks in order to excel in winning the championships. This further takes away from their fully mastering one skill over the other.
The only real difference is how this commitment is shown. Fans make sure to wear their team’s colors in support, chant during the innings to encourage the team, and sing along to the nation anthem before the beginning of the game. Many fans boo the opposing team to show how dedicated their love for their team is. The followers of religion come together to worship either in a Temple, mosque, church anywhere that in considers a house of worship there they worship and pray together.
Various groups of young children all around the world are wasting their time and even money on certain, nonessential games that aren’t worth it. Not all games are worth playing because, they lower some of the students’ confidence levels, encourage the stronger players to pick on the weak, leaving them without any chance to play, and the weak can’t defend themselves through all of it. Article, Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education by NASP and television clip from Freaks and Geeks both address/display the unimportance of one of these games, dodgeball. These reasons provide more than enough proof to eliminate these useless games for good. Most of these unnecessary games lower other's’ confidence in themselves.
Youth athletics takes away from the child’s chance of discovering what they truly love; they could really enjoy something other than sports. If a child spends every Saturday at a competition and drives an hour every night for a practice that will last 3 or more hours, they will never get the chance to try new things; all of their time is consumed by the sport they are playing. A child could be great at performing and acting in plays, but they will never know because they were pushed into athletics before they got the chance to explore all of their options. The person who could cure cancer, may never get the chance to explore the opportunities science offers him/her. By forcing children into sports at young ages, parents have cancelled out
I have never had a job with a paycheck, but that hasn’t stopped me from developing my philosophy of work. My experiences at school, home, and most of all, at roller derby have given me a chance to build my philosophy. In my experience, I have learned about my motivations, working through the grind of training, and the satisfaction of a task well-done. I’ve found that the best motivation to work is to turn it into a passion. My passion for roller derby has driven me to become one of the fastest and strongest skaters on my team.

Starting in France as a military obstacle course training, Parkour was taken by children and turned into a game. As Parkour developed from military training, more practitioners began to incorporate flips and twists; adding more expression to the sport. Even through the addition of flips and disagreement over the sport 's definition, most practitioners agreed that Parkour was meant to be trained outside. That was until gyms came along pushing for inside Parkour training.
