In Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, Austen Portrays two very important romantic couples; Catherine and Henry, and James and Isabella. Austen depicts that a great representation of a perfect couple is Catherine and Henry. Austen also shows what poor couple looks like which happens to be Isabella and James. There are three traits that make these two couples different. Truthfulness, Humor, and Loyalty. The traits also chatergerize in Austen's eyes what true love really is.
