William Shakespeare has composed countless, breathtaking phenomena. He produced many plays such as Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer night’s dream. Furthermore, Shakespeare compiled one hundred and fifty four sonnets. I strongly feel that Shakespeare is very influential through his texts. Judging by the fact that the many schools have implemented Shakespeare’s work as part of the mandatory curriculum, he has clearly influenced many people over the ages. With that said, I will elaborate as to why Romeo and Juliet, A midsummer night’s dream, and Sonnet 130 are my three preferred pieces of literature that are composed by William Shakespeare. To begin, I will start by expressing the reasons as to why I enjoyed the drama Romeo and Juliet. When I read a story, in order for me to finish it, it has to catch my interest within the first few pages. Romeo and Juliet, does exactly that. Within the first page someone gets angry at someone else. The than proceed into a sword fight. I enjoy A Midsummer Night’s Dream because not only is it a comedy, but it is love story, and dream all at the same time. I find that the section of this astonishingly well written book, where puck give the lovers a heap of grief by turning them against each other, and then furthermore casing them to love the people they just hated is extremely hilarious. Then I enjoyed the Part where Puck has an asses head, leading to Titania falling in love with him. Inevitably, if a book contains no action, humorous Dialogue, or any other Element of interest to me, I will quickly become bored with it, thus not finishing the book. The main point I am trying to convey, is that the flawless work of art, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is indubitably one of my most favorite texts by
