Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shackespear in the 1600s. The play is about two star-crossed lovers that belong to the families Capulet and Montaque in Verona Italy. Romeo and Juliet meet and fall in love at a party. As star-crossed lovers the author is trying to tell us that everything they do is caused by fate but, no matter what they do they are doomed. Free will and their choices have little to do with their fate. Life choices can determine life and death. They both chose to die because they believed they couldn't live without the other. Romeo and Juliet is about free will. Romeo gets word from Balthazar that Juliet died. Romeo gets on his horse and goes to Verona. When he gets there he goes into the tomb and sees Juliet laying there. He can’t live without her so he kills himself. Juliet wakes up and sees Romeo dead. Juliet sees Romeo dead. Later Friar Lawrence went to the tomb because he saw the light was on. When he sees Romeo and Juliet dead he says “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life” Romeo and Juliet were made for each other and is sad that both died for each other. …show more content…

Romeo and Juliet had free will in all parts of their deaths. When Balthasar sees Juliet being put into the tomb he gets on his horse and goes to tell Romeo. After Romeo hears about Juliet's death he wants to start controlling his own life. Romeo says “Then I deny you, stars.” Romeo thinks fate is controlling his life. Romeo is mad and is upset that Juliet is dead. He attempts to defy fate by killing himself.
