Impulsiveness can overtake if not controlled. Romeo and Juliet is a play written by the bard, William Shakespeare. Romeo is one of the main characters in Romeo and Juliet. One of Romeo’s biggest downfalls involves his emotions and how impulsive Romeo truly is.
One main example is when Romeo and Juliet first met. Romeo claimed to have fallen in love at first sight with Juliet, and forgot all about his love for the fair Rosaline in a number of minutes. After Romeo sees Juliet, Romeo says, “Her beauty is too good for this world; she's too beautiful to die and Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear.” Act I, Scene V- Lines 42-44. Romeo says this because he believes that she is so beautiful; that she should be forever young. Another example is when Romeo says, “Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I

Romeo says that he never loved Rosaline, and that Juliet is the only women he’s seen that is truly beautiful. These examples prove the fact that Romeo makes his impulsive decisions, seeing that he only meet Juliet a couple minutes ago.
The second example is Romeo’s killing of Tybalt. In the scene that Romeo kills Tybalt, he has so much emotion that he acts impulsively by exhibiting rage. In the scene that Romeo kills Tybalt, he is being sensible to begin with, with Romeo trying to break up a fight between Tybalt and Mercutio. Trying to get Benvolio to help, Romeo says,“Draw, Benvolio. Beat down their weapons . Gentlemen, for shame! Forbear this outrage. Tybalt, Mercutio! The Prince expressly hath forbidden bandying in Verona streets. Hold, Tybalt! Good Mercutio! - Act III, Scene I- Lines 82-86. Romeo doesn’t believe that he has done anything wrong to Tybalt.
