Is Romeo and Juliet more of a romance or tragedy? In Romeo and Juliet was written by Shakespeare and it was a romance for Romeo and Juliet but for everyone else even their families it is a tragedy. But Romeo and Juliet is way more of a tragedy than a romance. For example, one reason is that Romeo said he was so in love with Rosaline and then when she did not want him back he was so heartbroken and said he was never ever gonna find true love again, and yet again later that night he saw Juliet at the party.
