Teenagers are young adults that make decisions just like adults. But because adults have more experience than teenagers do, they can probably give them useful advice that could help them throughout their teenage years. Some people believe that parents give the best advice, while others are convinced that trusted adults do. Parents would want their child to be happy so teenagers would go towards them. But then trusted adults would also want them to be happy as well. So who should teenagers get advice from? I believe that teenagers like me should get advice from trusted adults ultimately because those trusted adults may have a better connection with you. Juliet then asks Nurse what she should do, that's when Nurse tells her, “Romeo is banished and all the world to nothing that he dares ne’er come back to challenge you, or, if he do, it needs to be by stealth. As an example, in “Why parents need to let their children fail” by Jessica Lahey, when a new teacher had to call a student’s parents because of plagiarism in her essay. The mother was enraged and called the teacher and said,”I wrote her paper. My daughter was too stressed out and I didn’t want her to get overwhelmed” (1). That is, the child’s mother did the daughters homework just because she felt a little stressed out. Therefore, the mother does not give a good example to her daughter which demonstrates why some parents aren’t the best option. Another example would be in William Shakespeare's, Romeo and Juliet, after Lord Capulet confronts Juliet about her decision of not wanting to marry Paris and threatens of kicking her out if she doesn’t marry him. Juliet looks upon her mother but her mother replies,”Talk not to me, for i’ll not speak; Do as thou wilt, for I have done with thee” (3.5. ). That is, Juliet’s mother leaves instead of helping her.
