In this Scene Romeo saw Juliet for the first time in his life at the masked ball, (hosted by the Capulet family). The power of love was shown when both Romeo and Juliet were instantly attracted to each other and their beauty, which lead to there ongoing history between each other. Hence why this quote truly demonstrates the theme of love. Image #1 This image was chosen to go along with the quote (Shakespeare 1.5.50) because it resembles the scene in a defined way. The reason for the people to be blacked out, was chosen on purpose due to the fact Romeo and Juliet were at a masked party, so they couldn't see each other which is why the people’s faces are not visible to be seen. It also matches the quote’s theme of love, the reason being that is this picture implies that they are going to “kiss” which demonstrates an act of love, or heartfelt emotions.
