While reading a tragedy, do you ever wonder what qualities identify a tragic hero? This play centers around two very young kids, which their families do not get along with, who fall “in love” at first sight at a party thrown by the Capulets. In the tragedy Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, many have broached if Romeo and Juliet coordinate with Aristotles' categories of a tragic hero. Romeo and Juliet are seen as tragic heroes according to Shakespeare. However, in the play, it is very debatable whether they qualify as a tragic hero or not according to their flaws that they are unable to recognize. Aristotle's customary categories accommodate that the character's downfall is the result of fate's intervention. Throughout the play, both of the minors do not acknowledge the flaws that they both retain within themselves. So, it makes it a very argumentative conversation about if they do or don’t fall into the boundaries. Throughout the play, the two characters do not realize what they did wrong or what could go wrong with their choices. During the tragedy, it explains that Romeo is not romantically in love with Juliet nor Rosaline truly because of the women they are but for the way they are presented and the amount of beauty each of them contains. As the story progresses Romeo proceeds not to acknowledge the flaws he encounters including loving a girl for her looks. While that all takes place, Juliet does not recognize any of her flaws either.
