The sad story of Romeo and Juliet is full of bad timing and bad luck. However, it is also full of questionable choices and irrational reactions. Out of all of the characters, Romeo should be held most responsible for causing problems. Many of the terrible things that happened came down to being his fault. One of the main ways that almost every single problem could have been avoided would have been if Romeo had simply realized that it is not a good idea to secretly marry a rival of your family. Although that would have been a very drastic change to the story, it is the most obvious ridiculous decision that Romeo made.
