Is Romeo genuinely the one to blame for all the deaths that occur in Romeo and Juliet? Two teenagers (Romeo and Juliet), met at a party, and fell in love at first sight. They kissed and eventually married each other. People were killed and one of the teenagers (Romeo) was at fault for one of the deaths, and was supposed to be exiled. The other teenager (Juliet) took a potion to seemed dead for 42 hours, then was supposed to be saved by the other teenager, according to Friar’s “plan”.
Many wonder who should truly be blamed for Romeo and Juliet's death. Could it have been the fact that both of their parents refused to let them see each other which cause this or could it have been Friar Lawrence's or the Nurse's fault for persuading and assisting what they knew would end with trouble. Many describe their deaths as an inevitable event that just couldn't be avoided but couldn't it have? Looking back and reading, it is believed that the Friar had the most influence on both Romeo and Juliet causing their deaths. It was even him who suggested that Juliet wait for Romeo in the tomb, which leads to Romeo killing himself since he supposedly believes that Juliet is dead.
Lord Capulet should have been suspicious of how Romeo discovered the party. He wanted to avoid making a scene at his party, but he just had to go up and ask him to leave, fighting was not the only way to get rid of Romeo. Juliet 's father 's second biggest mistake was pressuring Juliet into marrying Paris. At first he wanted Paris to woo her, but after Tybalt was killed he wanted to rush her into marrying Paris to cheer her up. Even though she made it clear she wasn 't going to be happy getting
In Romeo and Juliet the play, one might ask their self “Who’s fault would it be when Romeo and Juliet pass away?”. Some may say that it is fate since fate was against them since the beginning. Or some may blame Lord and Lady Capulet when they forced to marry Juliet to Paris, and Lady Capulet says “Speak briefly, can you like of Paris’ love?” (DBQ project: Who’s to Blame? Document B).
The troubles that we witness in Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is something that can not be blamed on one family. It has to be blamed on a single person. That person is Tybalt, nephew to Lady Capulet and cousin of Juliet. Tybalt did many things in order to “stir the pot” and cause unrest. For instance, Tybalt wants to kill Romeo at the ball held by the Capulets.
First, Romeo and Juliet are responsible for their own deaths. For example, everytime there were hardships that they thought they wouldn’t be able to overcome, the first solution in their minds was to kill theirself for each other. This means that they are ignorant and don’t even stop to think about what else could be done to fix their problem. As a result, they are quick to assume and act even though things can be prevented. Furthermore, Romeo immediately bought poison instead of heading to Friar Laurence to get an explanation on what was going on.

There are many people to blame, but the main three people with the biggest blame are Peter, Friar Lawrence, and Romeo himself. Peter is most to blame because of his lack of knowledge and desperate need for help. Friar Lawrence’s kind heart and Romeo’s need for lust also lead to the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet.
I think that Romeo was just mad and wanted revenge and did not have the time to think. Romeo is worried about his relationship with Juliet and how it will end between them, but if Romeo was not an impatient character he would not have to worry about that because he would have known better not to have killed
Even if he would have not kept his and Juliet's relationship a secret the outcome would have been better. His own personal desire worked heavily against him. Romeo had decided to pursue his own personal desire and ask the Friar to marry him and Juliet. This was a few days after they had met and he was sure they were meant to be together. The Friar realized how foolish it was, but the only reason he married them was because he thought there was a possibility of this helping to end the feud between their families.

The Capulets and Montagues were not on good terms with each other. Unfortunately though, Romeo and Juliet fell in love with each other regardless if they are from opposing families. Because of these families bad relationship, Romeo and Juliet were forced to marry in secret instead of publicizing it. These two lovers could have been straight-forward to their parents about their marriage, but they choose not to. The Friar is also guilty to these lovers death, but he only thought that this relationship between Romeo and Juliet be the cure to their families grudge for each other.
Romeo acts impulsively too many times throughout the play, and was punished for it almost every time. He did not learn from his mistakes, and this would eventually cost him his family and his life. If he had not acted impulsively throughout the story, he would still be living and he would be living happily with

Death, tragedy, misery, love, and unity, all of these words describe the story of Romeo and Juliet, but it all revolved around Tybalt making his first terrible mistake. In the play Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare, the short story is that two young lovers secretly get married, people murder in anger, the two lovers get separated, and then end their lives in a tragic death because of no communication. But, like I said, this all revolves around a mistake Tybalt makes because of the feud between the Capulet (Juliet’s family) and the Montague (Romeo’s family). Tybalt is the character most to blame for the tragic events in Romeo and Juliet because, he killed Mercutio, which lead to Romeo 's banishment, which then leads to the suicides of Romeo
