Ronald Reagan was one of the greatest leaders of today’s modern world. He possessed many qualities that positively influenced the people around him. Leadership and drive were only two characteristics that made him such an influential man. I retain these same two qualities that will hopefully, one day, make me as great of a leader as Reagan was to his people. Ronald Reagan describes leadership as a feature that makes a positive difference in different situations. I consider myself a leader in the school and community. In this way, I am very similar to Reagan. Ever since I was little, I had the drive to be successful and have a worthy future. I have never thought twice about going to college in order to eventually living a prosperous life. In fact, my whole life has been based on going to college. In my household, college is what success is. One goes to college in order to get a good job, and this person is considered successful. My parents sent me to a private school for the first fourteen years of my life in the hope that I would acquire a noteworthy education. For my high school years, I was sent to a public school where the education has pushed me to my full potential. I have never given up on myself. I continue to challenge myself with tough courses and many activities. I spend my summers volunteering, working a part-time job, and taking college classes. I am considered “an over-achiever,” and I am proud to hold that title. I know all of this hard work will pay off in the end. Not only do I want myself to be successful, but I wish prosperity on the whole community. I spend hours volunteering my time to help others in their times of need.
