The Great Ronald Reagan Ronald Reagan, as a loved and treasured president, was known for attacking the Soviet Union and its communism. He was very important to our nation and lifted the U.S. into a great time of prosperity. Going into Presidential office, Reagan had a few goals, end the cold war, bring down the Soviets, and be a gentleman. One of his famous quotes is “I did turn 75 today – but remember, that’s only 24 Celsius.” He was a very unique man. He was born on February 6, 1911 to Jack and Nelle Wilson Reagan. He had two children with his first wife, Jane Wyman. They had one daughter and one adopted son, Maureen and Michael. After divorce, the children stayed with their mother.
