In the Outsiders, S.E Hinton, it presents the idea that perspectives changes what other people think of you by being yourself and not caring what other people think of you.you should stop worrying about what other people's perspective of you and start being yourselves so people don’t get the wrong image of you. In Chapter 2 when PonyBoy talked to Cherry (who is a socs).Cherry tells PonyBoy that,”it’s not just the money.Part of it, but not all.You greasers have a different set of values.you’re emotional we’re sophisticated.I don’t really think a beer blast on the river bottom is supercool(Hinton 38).”This supports my claim because Cherry said that the beer blast wasn’t that cool which means she is following what other people think of her and their perspective of her, but by the end of the story Cherry breaks through other people's perspective of her and she starts becoming herself instead of being what other people think of her so greasers know that “not all socs are jerks and morons. …show more content…
