a. The SMART board helped facilitate student learning by demonstrating and working with the students on how they can draw diagrams to help them solve fraction problems. Students were able to take notes from the board and write down what was being put on the SMART board for everyone to see. The students were also able to share their work with a partner as one of the learning activites. As I was walking around listening to their conversations, I was able to see how some of the students that knew how to solve the problem were helping some of the students that didn't quite geet it yet.
b. One of the ways the students demonstrated their understanding of the content during the lesson was by coming up to the board to solve some of the problem. Students were able to explain their thinking to the rest of the class while working through it. Another way students demonstrated their understanding was through sharing with one another their work. They were able to not only identify the answer, but how they got the answer to each other. The final way was through their assessment at the end. Idid not only look at their answers, but I also analyzed how they got each answer.

While I was teaching the lesson, I had to adjust the way I stood at the board. I realized that I should be standing in an area where everyone could see. Some students might not be assertive enough to ask me to move, so I had to be aware. Another adjustment I had to make was to use enough "wait time" to have them think about it before moving on. I realized that the students needed time to actually think about what I was asking. I did it this way so the students could go into independent work time with the mistakes they might have to look out
