I am honored to apply for the Masters of Science Program in Computer Information Systems offered at SUNO (Southern University at New Orleans). I have been told by many professors that I display a natural talent in understanding computers. I’ve also had a deep passion for working in law enforcement and since my entry in 2011, I have noticed there is a lack of understanding and ability to keep up with the growing advancements in technology for law enforcement professions. This problem has arisen mostly from the allotted budgets that are issued to law enforcement professions. My decision was based on the fact that the College of Business is AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) certified. This accreditation is regarded as the benchmark for business school quality among the academic community, and SUNO is only one of the few universities that have received this accreditation. Upon entering the College of Business and Public Administration, subjects like economics and management were very new to me, but also interesting as well. I also enjoyed learning how to apply quantitative and conceptual skills to analyze business problems. I displayed an excellent talent in the comprehension of projects, desk research, workshops and class discussions. The degree of excellence I exuded in my classes resulted in above average grades and my induction into BGS (Beta Gamma Sigma), which is an international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB.
