In the beginning the world was bare, a rocky terrain as far as the eyes can see. Then one day the Great Spirit descended upon earth and felt pity for the barren land. The Great Spirit wandered the earth until he found a lone rock that was pitch black and cool to the touch. He clutched the stone with such force that it vanished from his palm he then lifted his hand to his head gently pressing two fingers between his eyes. Then, something happened; a pure black liquid began to pour from the man's eyes, the liquid formed into a woman with a sound mind and soft eyes, She stood up and marveled at the spirit, The woman he had created was called Black Widow, she was as strong as obsidian and assisted him in creating our world. “This is not their truth,” Great Spirit replied “This is your hate that you have forced upon them because of your envy!” The Great Spirit quickly tried to suck as much of the poison out of the water as possible but it was no use. The Pure Humans knew there was still way too much poison in their water to have Humans that could be considered good, so they all decided to sacrifice themselves and have their pureness mix in with the poison to dilute the hate. Their sacrifice created Humans as we know them today. Great Spirit was growing weaker and weaker, but In a final burst of energy he pulled Black Widow into the air and transformed her body. He shrunk her down and made her body round and fat. He gave her 8 thin legs and stuffed her with her own creation, silk. He stuffed her small stubby body with the poison she soiled humanity with, and finally he placed a red hourglass on her back to represent the immortality she took from Humans. Today Humans still have a mix of good and bad in them, and the great spirit watches over us trying to guide us in the right direction. Black Widow still roams our forests and homes, hoping to poison us again with her deadly bite. And though hate is relevant in all of us it is still our choice to drink in our pure ancestors or partake in our poisonous
