People everywhere go through carious experiences in their lives. Every experience affects a person in some way. The resulting effects can be good, bad, or a combination of both. Many aspects of my life have been influenced my personality and the way that I live. Dislocating my shoulder influence my life dramatically. It began simply by playing the game I love the most, soccer. As a result of my injury, sitting on the sidelines and watching my career drift by was a difficult part of my life. This experience helped me realize that everyone has to face tough situation in their lives, and the way you decide to face that situation will help you on later in life.

It was a half hour before game time and everyone on the team was getting motivated to play. As the sun was beating down, the referee blew the whistle to begin the game. As the goalie it was my job to keep an eye out on the opposing team’s position, and help out my defense by getting them into better positions to attack the ball. It wasn’t long before the opposing team had their first attempt on goal. The striker was given a great through ball past my defense and was able to take a shot at the goal. The shot came towards my right hand side about three feet out. I saved the shot but the ball kept rolling forwards but not so far out of my reach. I jumped atop the ball covering it with my left arm. Not a second went by before I felt one of the most excruciating pain of my life. The striker kick my shoulder out of its socket. Immediately, I grabbed my shoulder and let out a cry of pain. The crowd of parents, coaches, and the players fell silent. While laying on my back I managed to pop my shoulder back into its socket. As I laid on the grass holding my shoulder I saw the familiar face of my coach and fellow teammates. I was helped up and rushed to the hospital, where the doctors took x-rays and an MRI to determine the extent of my
