The patron saint of this mission is Saint Louis, Bishop of Tolouse in France. Louis was born in 1274 and was the second son of King Charles of Naples. After being defeated in war with Spain, Louis and his brother were sent, as hostages, to release their father. After spending seven years in Spain, Louis decided to join the order.
His parents raised him with a Moravian religion. As he got older he trained as clergyman. His first job was as a teacher in Switzerland. As a result of teaching he became an author of his first book. La Trobe was employed as a governor of the Port Phillip district.

He saw that the Dominican Order of Preachers were able to roam free through the prison, as long as they were spreading their religious messages. Noble’s saw this as a way to get out of his cell and roam free with other prisoners. So, Nobles decided to join the Dominican Order of Preachers. 1844-185 Louis David Riel, a Canadian figure, died at the age of 41 on Monday, November 16, 1885 due to his execution for treason in Regina, Saskatchewan. Born on October 22, 1844 to Louis Riel Sr. and Julie Lagimodiere in St. Boniface, Red River settlement. Being born in 1844, he was the eldest of his siblings, seven sisters and four brothers. Louis was constantly around the Metis people and growing up he never felt tied to one identity, he only felt mixed, which he had inherited from his father’s side. Joan of Arc was a simple peasant girl the youngest of five children born into a family of pious parents whom worshipped God in a in a village near the province of Lorraine, in a far off village known as Domremy. Joan having been born a peasant and in a village, not in a city had very little education and with there were being two different factions of the French people following the two different kings, Kings Charles VII and King Henry V. Even with Joan’s little education, she believed that King Charles VII should be king because she had been given messages from the visions received from the saints of Margeret, Catherine and Michael that Charles was the one true king chosen by God. He feels that he is above basic morals a human has, and thus he uses pain, torture, violence, etc. to force obedience from his tribe. As the book goes on, he constantly keeps abusing natural human rights. For instance, when Sam and Eric refused to join his tribe, he lashed out with physical abuse, now having no respect for life within him.

Many different explorers such as Christopher Columbus, John Cabot, and Juan Ponce de Leon set the stepping stones for exploration in the New World. Leon was one of many different explorers that the Spanish chose to send with the goal of discovering new lands and finding more resources. Juan Ponce de Leon was a famous Spanish explorer and conqueror who explored and discovered Puerto Rico and Florida.

The Harlem Renaissance was a burst on African American’s expression of culture, arts, and writings throughout the 1920’s. It was in Harlem, New York, the movement allowed many African American poets, painters, musicians, authors and philosophers to express the beliefs in their people's culture. They wanted to be equal to white people so they showed that through their talents. Louis Armstrong was a key asset to the Harlem Renaissance due to his inspiring music and playing his instruments for African Americans people during this period. Louis Armstrong was a pivotal musician in the twentieth century, but it was his contributions and his role he made during the Harlem Renaissance movement that is most substantial.
