Lucy has done a lot of work that she put into the White House that helped shape it to what it is today, and the rules. Lucy is one the most remembered first ladies for all the stuff she did to help this nation. Lucy Hayes was born on August 28, 1831 in Chillicothe Ohio.
Future poet Lucy Terry was born in West Africa. The exact date of her birth is unknown, though it is thought she might have been born as early as the 1720s. Historical records on Lucy’s life are extremely limited and thus details of her history have been taken away from scholarly research and conjecture. Lucy was captured when she was a very young girl by slave traders who brought her to Rhode Island. There she was believed to have been first bought by Samuel Terry, who lived in Enfield, Connecticut.
Even though The House of the Scorpion and The Giver are two books that are very different they can still have similarities. Matt Alacrán from The House of the Scorpion and Jonas from The Giver have similarities and differences. While there are more differences than similarities the similarities that these two books do have are very interesting. For example, Jonas grew up in a society where everyone knew what to do and never had to worry. Matt grew up in a place where he knew his place and had no worries.
