Cloning Twenty years ago, we wouldn't have imagined having all of the technology that we have today. Most people believe that each new form of technology or any new advancement that is made is meant to better benefit living things here on Earth. Cloning, being one of the more recent and interesting advancements made, has been argued to be hurting us more than helping us. Because of the amount of deaths compared to successful clones, the amount of animals in shelters, and the fact that you most likely will not get an exact clone are all reasons on why cloning is not benefiting us.
To start off, the amount of deaths compared to the amount of successful clones is tremendous. The success rate is close to .1 percent to 3 percent. . If they are not killed they most likely have health problems. We are taking the lives of innocent animals in hopes we will receive the animal we once had. What if it was the other way around, imagine getting your life getting changed around because your owner didn't want you, but they wanted someone else. That is what we are doing to these poor innocent pets, taking away their characteristics and who they are away from them so we can have someone we once loved.

The approximate amount of animals put in shelters each year is 7.6 billion. That is 7.6 billion lives that haven't had a home, or someone to love and care for them. You should consider giving one of these animals a true life rather than reviving one who already fulfilled
