The section of the film I am writing about is the scene after the main character learns about torture. The scene is about 11 or 12 minutes into the film and runs for about a minute. This scene is very interesting considering the gruesome subject matter. The scene before it describes the immense pain one of the characters felt when he was being tortured. He shares this story with his family and the main character, who is a little girl at this point. You would think that knowing the context, the scene would be very dark, which it is, but the next scene is played out very differently than you 'd think. When a lady stops the kids on the street in mid pursuit, she asks the main character how she would feel if she was tortured. After hearing the graphic stories from the man the night before, the thoughts going through her head must be pretty dark right? No, her
