There has been 215 shootings in America since 2013. Nowadays, kindergarten students prepare for school shooting like it is a thing that we have accepted in society. No to mention, that we are get trained in a this type of situation like how we get trained for a natural disaster. The years before we would only prepare for tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes. In like manner, we prepare for school shootings like some natural disaster. Not only we prepare like it’s a natural disaster but also we see school shootings, something that is bound to happen at least once in our school life. By the same token, as a society we review school shooting is something that is common, natural but years before we never prepared for such a catastrophic event. …show more content…

We can also become more aware of our surroundings if you see anything that is suspicious, report it to the local police immediately. In addition, we can also have big first aid boxes that are near the doors. In an event that a school shooting were to take place students can help the wounded and injured. Also, students and teachers both should attend first aid and CPR classes in order to each other during a shooting. By, the time 911 or emergency services arrive, they can save a victim by just stopping the a bleed or doing one cycle of CPR. No to mention, doing those small things can affect that victims life …show more content…

In order to learn how to perform CPR and first aid. In addition, I would like to have big first aid boxes all over the school and in classes. Finally, a first aid kits that contain multiple gloves, first-aid manual, sterile gauze pads of different sizes, adhesive tape, adhesive bandages in several sizes, elastic bandage, a splint, antiseptic wipes, hand sanitizer, antibiotic ointment, antiseptic solution, ibuprofen, tweezers, sharp scissors, safety pins, disposable instant cold packs, alcohol wipes or ethyl alcohol, thermometer, flashlight and extra batteries,a blanket, mouthpiece for administering CPR and couple blankets. Generally speaking, if a couple people in a class of thirty can help a victim out in a situation like this using this first aid kit they will have a chance to save a person’s life. After all, I feel that these two solutions can help students feel safer and prepared if or when a school shooting where to take

I think that one way to prevent school shootings is to train teachers and administrators maybe not to just able to shoot and carry a gun but to able to react right in these types of situations. However preventing is not the same thing as preparing. Because we can arm teachers and everything but if someone comes into the building with a gun and shoots it’s going to be labeled as a school shooting.
