School to Work Opportunities Act of 1994 As growing up a person never knows what they want to have as a career, so given the opportunity of the School-to-Work Opportunity Act of 1994 a person can venture out to see if that is the career that they would like to peruse. With the Act of 1994 considering the School-to-Work programs available to students in high school it gives them the opportunity to experience different avenues of work. If the students does not decide to purse in the area they experienced they do not have to go and spend money on furthering their education to go into that degree. Have you ever had the opportunity to do the school-to-work program at your high school? With the act of 1994 this became available to all students with given choices to explore different paths of careers that they might so desire to do for a living come graduation. The quality of the act includes many different steps. “Congress found that three-fourths of high school students in the United States enter the workforce without baccalaureate degrees; may lack the academic and entry-level occupational skills necessary to succeed in the changing Unites States workplace.” (Paris K) This act encompasses many learning opportunities for students before they go and fall into the real world
