It is an American multinational corporation whose headquarters are located in Marysville, Ohio having started its operations in 1868. The company has regional offices as well as the research facilities in various parts of the US, and it also has businesses in Canada, Asia Pacific, and Europe. The company has market-leading products like the Roundup that is meant for the North American market and Europe. There are other brands that are found outside the North American market that include Evergreen, Miracle-Geo, KB, Subtral, and Fertiligene among others.
The demand for the lawn and garden consumables that include the fertilizer, growing media, pesticides, seeds and mulch among others has been increasing steadily in the US where it is projected to grow by 3.4 percent in 2020 where it will reach a mark of $9.3 billion. There has been slow growth that has been observed between 2010 and 2015 period. The reason behind such dismal performances can be based on the low consumer confidence, concerns about environmental effects of consumers, lawn maintenance, and pesticides as well as the limited growth in government spending.
