The Secret Service has been around for many decades working in full-force. The Secret Service is most known for protecting the president and other high ranking government officials, but this is not the only thing the secret service does. The main purposes of the Secret Service is to not only protect the President and other important people but also to secure national infrastructures and keep safe the financial systems of the United States.
