It is important for employers that they are going to hire people who will be able to work with effectiveness and confidence in their companies. Work-based learning programs are the chance of students to discover things they cannot learn in a classroom, get inside information about the career they are interested in, or simply get a taste of what it really feels like to be on the job. Self-efficacy is a central concept in Bandura’s social cognitive theory, where required to produce given attainments (Bandura, 1997). There is a positive relationship that exists between work self-efficacy and performance in an organizational setting according to Raelin (2011). He and his colleagues found that the self-efficacy of university students was improved. Self-efficacy is used by universities and companies to measure an individual’s capacity to cope with learning and performing. Working while students study enables them to apply the skills they are learning on their course to their workplace almost immediately. Things they have picked up in the classroom can be put into practice at work the very next day. This kind of immersive, applied learning means they are learning faster and that their new knowledge sinks in fast. It is a unique advantage that work based learning students have over traditional full-time students. Another of the benefits of work based learning is that student’s applied knowledge benefits their employer instantly.
