As a future electrical engineer, I should understand the actions that I am taking and the outcomes of it. I know that it is sensible to think carefully before making any decision. There are many situations where I demonstrated this type of thinking. An example include how I tell my cousin what happened to his little pet or my friends I can’t drink tonight. There must be a right time and place where you take the action. Usually we should question ourselves before doing it. These questions include will this course produce the best outcomes for everyone involve? And how can we maximize the good, while minimizing the bad in this decision? I really enjoyed this class, because I was able to work on my critical thinking skill and to question almost …show more content…
Examples in class that displays these types of characteristics include writing on the index card about the topic, talking to the person next to you in class, and using the story starters to describe an event or situation with details. Doing all of these things will definitely give me a healthy start to the career life. The course has allowed me to learn on how to deal with the wrong doings in my life and work place. I am not a really talkative person. But at each discussion, I tried my best to be engaging and talk about any subjects that was presented. I learned to be precise and detailed so that my classmates understand where I am coming from. Even if I am not familiar with the topic, I try to ask a question or be involved and respond at least twice in each discussion. I could be better in the future by reading more on the topic before attending class. I learned that there are many steps to become an engineer. You may pass all your classes, but if you don’t know the consequences of your action, then it is just a waste. Actions are the successes and failures in the life. Even though each lectures and discussions was about different topic, it all came back to ethics and …show more content…
The class been quite a lot of hustling and trying to make sure that everything is completed. There were some objectives that I set out at the beginning of the semester and I am glad to have succeed them. I can say that we, the students, have learned three major things. First, we can make knowledgeable, ethical choices by distinguishing and critically examining the ethical problems that are involved in the engineering technologies. Second, we realized how broad the impact of engineering has on different disciplines like history, politics, economics, law, and psychology. Lastly, we were able to explore and analyze relevant conceptual concerns and ethical dilemmas as they arise and how the different culture’s practices affect the engineering. I would like to conclude by saying that personal ethics are important not just in professional and academic life, but also in our own personal’s life. My personal ethics determined who I am and how I make my own decision. I believe that knowing what is right and wrong can help a person go a long way in achieving their personal and professional
