Overall, the entire process of my Eagle Scout Project has truly marked my transition from being a child to a young adult. My Eagle Scout Project has given me the privilege of helping my community. I learned what it truly takes to perform a project, start to finish. My passage from childhood to adulthood was demonstrated by my dedication and commitment throughout this project, which has shown me the potential I have to make a difference in my
During my time there, I learned not to take for granted the little things in life, such as a place to live and the materialistic things I possess. I can apply this experience to my life by being thankful for the little things in life I do have and for my home that shelters me every day of my life. Something I would’ve liked to learn more about would be how else the tools are used and how my friend’s family could’ve been better prepared for the hurricane. The knowledge I would like to share with my peers or my community would be to aid others when support is needed no matter your opinion about that individual and be grateful for the things and people you do have in your life. Lastly, if I had the opportunity to do the project once more I would have changed my negative attitude towards helping my friends and would try to be more prepared to work those long hours helping
When I went into highschool I gained confidence to be myself and matured throughout my time in high school to figure out what my goals in life are. Now I am looking forward to graduating
Many people come across roadblocks through their journey of life. I know I've had my fair share of them. The biggest bump in my academic life was changing it completely upside down. Growing up african American or with any skin that holds the slightest of pigment is not easy, but that's obvious due to our nation's past. Racism and stereotypeing has always been there.
My Senior Honors Project consists of researching the lack of resources within Native communities for special needs children. To begin with, my universal theme is special needs children. By doing research for my visual presentation, I learned a lot about other culture’s worldview on special needs children and I also concluded my culture’s worldview--both in my Native American community and in the state of New Mexico. One of the many things that I learned about my topic, my culture’s worldview and other communities’ worldview is that everything is perceived differently.
My academic achievements throughout my high school career show that hard work and dedication truly do pay off in the long run. All throughout my sophomore
Since I first came to college I’ve had the opportunity to discover myself and who I am as a person, and here is what I can tell you. I’m a modest consistently hard working individual who continues to set goals for herself. I take responsible for my actions when things go wrong rather than look for others to blame. I am a person who is committed to constructing something larger for the benefit of others rather than personal gain. I am a person who believes in teamwork and open communication.
My Senior Spring Project (SSP) got off to a quick and exciting start. I have enjoyed my four mini-courses, my two independent studies, tennis, and the one-on-one weekly meetings I have with the various teachers who supervise these activities. Through SSP, I am slowly learning how to manage my activities outside of my regular school routine. In the first week, I had trouble managing my reading assignments from one mini-course (4 hours) along with the work from my two independent projects (total of 12 hours). I have never had so much independent work over a week that was not split into separate homework assignments.
By the time I graduate high school, I will already have my college associate degree that I will have earned through my hard work and dedication. Even though I went through a lot at such a young age, it has shaped me in every possible way. I was exposed to a whole different language and culture, but I was able to succeed through my strong desire of success and dedication. I am thankful for every challenge that I had to go through because if it was not for them, I would not be the person I am

Throughout this report I will discuss any questions or concerns I have with projects that I have done or that I am still working on. I will also provide an illustration of the status of each project that has been assigned in the form of a chart. The report will then go on to discuss my future plans for how I plan to complete projects that are currently incomplete.
As high school went on, the workload grew, but I also grew, so I was perfectly capable of keeping up with the work. This type of growth came rather easy to me. It was important for me to have one thing I could be confident with through all of the drama and chaos in my life. Growing in my community was not challenging thanks to the Live Algoma movement. Our community itself has experienced so much growth over the past four years, which allowed many students, including me, to grow in their community involvement as well.
Writing project 3 has shown me the importance of writing something that is of interest for you, an issue that you are passionate about. I think that I have started to get somewhat better at the structuring of my writing and using outlines before I jump into a draft. I am no longer as scared and hesitant to write, as I was the first writing project. I think a good goal that I accomplished from this project was using diverse sources in my writing. I was able to utilize a magazine post, newspaper article and research journals to form my argument and provide support.
